The first weekend of the football season gets underway this weekend with the four senior men's teams coming up against arch rivals UTS Bats and the Under 19's meeting Sydney University. The Stingrays still have a weekend off but will be taking to the field next weekend to get their campaigns underway.
The Sydney AFL Premier Division season kicks off with a night game between the Bulldogs and the UTS Bats at Henson Park. Action gets underway at 7.30pm. Last year's campaign also started against the Bats and our boys will be hoping for the same result after a stirring 3-point win after trailing by 26 at the last break.
The lower grades return to the old East Sydney stomping ground at Trumper Park on Saturday. With each club having teams in the same divisions it should provide for a great contest across all grades. The dogs reduction to four senior teams for this season has seen an increase in numbers across each squad and the club is confident of a much improved 2015. The weekend wraps up with another night game as the under 19's take on Sydney University at Henson Oval.
