Belconnen have been busy over the off season recruiting heavily from all over Australia. The club believes that have been able to recruit the players they need to fill gaps in 2011.
ALEX CARTER: Recruited from Manunda Hawks in Cairns, Alex is a 18 years old, midfielder who can drift forward and kick goals
MATT HAMMOND: Recruited from the Cairns Saints, Matthew represent QLD in the 2010 Country Championships. A strong forward who can be played in the ruck, Matthew provides the club the verstility they need. Matthew is coming off the back of 3 premierships with the Cairns Saints and in 2010 Matthew was awarded Best on Ground for his performance.
CAMERON CAMPBELL: recruited from the South Cairns Cutters, Cameron was selected as a member of the team of the decade, Team captain for the past 3 year, tough uncomprising utility that has very impressive skills.
HARRY HUTCHINSON: recruit Manunda Hawks, a small forward with explosive pace, representive QLD in the under 18 competition for the last two years.
DANIEL LOCK: Recruit from South Cairns Cutters, Daniel was a named Full Forward in the Cutters team of the decade. Daniel is a very strong lead up forward with a very accrurate shot on goal. Daniel has won the league goal kicking medal on serval occassions.
JYE BOHM: Recruit from Redlands/Port Douglas, Jye is an 18 year old centre half forward, played AFLQ under 18 rep football in 2010. Member of the Redlands under 18 grand final side. Jye was able to experience playing with the Brisbane lions reserves in 2010.
RYAN BLUNDELL: Recruit from Turvey Park Riverina League, Ryan is a lightly framed wingman with great endurance, played in a grand final side in 2010.
ANDREW DESS: Brother of Brendan Dess, Andrew was recruited from Lavington in the Ovens and Murray league. Andrew is a strong centre half forward with a good work ethic.
