Last Saturday saw the boys travel to Mt Gravatt for a practice match/
Going by last years results it was going to be a good test for the boys to see how we are going.
The reserves kicked it off with what was an entertaining game of footy as Mt Gravatt tried to get control of game. Our boys fought back to even it up. Come the last quarter it looked like the Vultures were going to run away with it , then Noosa hit back and we were unlucky not to come away with a victory. All in all great effort and the bar has been set for the year.
Final score Mt Gravatt 10.14.74 defeated Noosa 10.10.70.
The Seniors then took to the field and had great control for the first quarter, pushing Mt Gravatt. Quarter time score Mt Gravatt 3.1.19 Noosa 2.1.13.
In the second quarter Mt Gravatt took control but couldn't put a big score on the board. Half time score Mt Gravatt 8.4.52 Noosa 4.1.25.
A bit of a talking to by coach Gellie at the main break saw the boys come out and respond but constant turnovers hurt, in the end mt gravatt finished the better side. Final score Mt Gravatt 11.13.79 defeated Noosa 7.3.45.
At the end of the day Noosa has taken on two of the top teams in QAFL in practice games and have not been overawed. This has allowed the coaches to see the boys pushed and see how they respond which sets us up for a good start to the year.
Better players on the day Corey Boardman, Bushy Copeland, Lachy McClarty.
Now practice games are over lets get ready to meet Mayne head on in round 1
