Francis Completes High Performance Course

Redland coach Matthew Francis has joined an elite list of 25 coaches chosen from across Australia to complete his level 3 high performance coaching course held at the AIS in Canberra.

Francis joined fellow up and coming coaches such as Nathan Buckley, Robery Harvey, David King, Shannon Grant, Adam Simpson, Paul Williams and Labrador coach Jarrod Fielding.

The program is an intense five day course covering high performance areas such as communication strategies, advanced skill development, psychology, game analysis and talent identification.

After leading the Bombers into a semi final in 2009, the clubs best ever finish in the AFLQ, Francis has his sights set on taking the club to another level yet again.

"This will allow me to extract the highest level of performance out of my players as possible as well as developing the other coaches around the club... I feel very privileged to be attending the course and can't wait to turn the theory in practise" Francis said.

With one of the youngest lists in the AFLQ 2010 will be another great challenge for Matty and his staff that they will no doubt meet head on.
