Bombers coach Matt Francis has signed with the club for a further two seasons keeping him at the club until the end of 2011.
Francis, who crossed to the Bombers two seasons ago after being an assistant at Morningside, has lifted the club from its knees to enjoy its most successful season ever in the QAFL in over a decade.
When the former Collingwood and Richmond player initially took the reigns the club had won just 3 matches in its past 3 seasons and not moved from the bottom of the ladder.
He took the club to 3 victories in 2008, which altough doesn't sound like much was a significant step in the right direction, to this seasons 13 victories which has put the club into 3rd position on the ladder heading into its first finals series in 8 years.
Francis also enjoyed his first taste of state coaching this season, assisting John Blair as the state U21 coach for their victory against the Victorian amateurs state U21's.
His signature will ensure that Redlands continues to move in the right direction into the future.
