A record four Bombers have been selected in the AFLQ team of the year, announced at the Grogan medal count last night.
Justin Myers, Jason Eagle, Phil Carse and James Charlesworth were all given the privilege of a spot in the team, with Myers being named in the back pocket, Eagle in the forward pocket, and Carse and Charlesworth on the interchange.
The only teams to have more players in the side were Souhtport (5) and Morningside (5). The NT thunder also had 4.
It capped off a great night where Redland were announced team of the year, Charlesworth won the rising star, president Col Tobiasen was recognised for his serviced with an AFL merit award, and several Bombers players polled well in the Grogan.
