Final Home and Way Game

Pat Evans joins his mates Leo Barry, Micky O and Crouchy in announcing his retirement this week. Pat will play his 92nd game in the ones since commencing in 1999. Pat had 2002-3 out of the game searching for Rachel, and returned to earn selection in the Team of the Decade. Great career Pat and just short of the 100, hang around, you may yet make the ton through complementary inputs. Joining Pat are two GC17 lads - one from the Broadie list - in Green and McIvor. Both are deserving of their selection and we wish them good luck in their debuts for the Broadbeach FC.  Unfortunately Taylor Haley busted his hand last week and Hutchy did a shoulder to rule them out of the final fixture.

Injuries played havoc with the selections for the early game, the irony being that there will be a half dozen or more available for the final the following week. None-the-less, a few classy inclusions in the Magoos this week down forward and on the bench. Dozer has called for the last to ensure his leather stops have the appropriate length of nail proud of the tips (umpires do not inspect the boots these days Dozer!)
