Highly respected Morningside veteran David Lillico have been honoured with the captaincy of the Queensland side for the fourth consecutive year.
Lillico, 29, was among the Maroons' top three players in their win over Tasmania two years ago and the 10-goal loss to WA in Townsville last year.
He was outstanding in the heavy going in Launceston and on the lightning fast surface at Tony Ireland, reflecting his great ability.
He has also proved to be an outstanding ambassador on those trips and prior ones to Canberra, gaining the respect of teammates, officials and opponents alike.
Coach Jason Cotter named two vice-captains, Paul Shelton and Austin Lucy.
Shelton is in his first year back in Queensland after five years in the VFL and is a natural leader.
Lucy was a co-captain at Zillmere at the raw age of 19 and has the ability to be a State representative for many more years.
