The Sandringham Football Club has embarked on two exciting projects, refurbishment of the Social Club and clubrooms and an upgrade of the training lights at the Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
Upgrading the training lighting will be at a cost of $160,000 with another $1,110,000 required to refurbish the Social Club and football amenities.
This has been made possible by the combined funding support of the Victorian State Government, Bayside City Council, AFL Victoria with the Sandringham Football Club to fund the balance from within the Club’s resources and/or from donor support.
Our training lights have been the worst in the competition for many years and posed a health and safety risk to players and are non compliant to AFL and VFL Standards.
The refurbishment of the Social Club and clubrooms (which will include the installation of a vertical lift for the disabled) will increase seating from 120 to 180 guests and upgrade the football amenities. The current building was built in circa 1973 and is in desperate need of a makeover.
The Sandringham Zebras are looking to raise $200,000 to cover our commitment and we are turning to our members, supporters and friends to assist us in meeting our fundraising target.
Donors will be an important element in the upgrade of these two facilities.

The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) was established in 1986 by the Australian Government to assist organisations to raise funds through public and corporate donations for sport related projects. The ASF is listed in the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Div 30, s 30-90) and this enables donations of $2.00 or more to be tax deductible.
All donations must be made unconditionally to the ASF, however donors can nominate a registered project as their preferred beneficiary. The Sandringham Football Club – Club Development is a registered project of the ASF.
All donors who contribute $500 or more will be permanently recognised on an honour board to be displayed in the Social Club upon completion of the works.

This should be completed and returned with payment details to John Mennie at the Club.
All ASF grants received by the Club will be applied to the upgrade of lighting and football related facilities.
