Nick Sautner & David Macgeorge were both awarded Life Membership of the Sandringham Football Club at last nights AGM
Nick joined the club in 1997 and in his first year played Centre Half Back (kicking 7 goals for the year) in a premiership team. After 202 Sandringham games and 621 Sandringham goals Nick retired at the end of the 2010 season as the clubs games and goals record holder and the most decorated player in the clubs history with 5 premierships and 9 “Frosty Miller” Medals for the leading goal kicker in the competition. Nick also was in the VFL team of the year captained the club in the 2010 VFL season.
David came to the club in 1992 and played 172 games in all grades (136 Senior) before retiring at the end of 2001. David retired with an impressive football CV which included 3 Senior premierships (1994, 1997 & 2000), Captain of the club in 2000 & 2001, 3 Best & Fairests (1995, 1997 & 2001) and a VFL team of the year member in 1999, 2000 & 2001
