NEW FUNCTION ROOMS UPDATE
PROGRESS TO DATE—1/12/2011
Meeting by stakeholders - Council, AFL, AFL Vic, State Govt & Club viewed presentation by Council appointed architect pointing out various options for construction of new rooms.
No draft plans have been formulated and most of the discussion centred around the -:
- Cost of overall construction
- The best fit to suit the budget of $3m
- The restrictions placed on development by the inground services of - sewerage mains & major
stormwater drains and protected trees in Plowman Place.
The Council Quantity Surveyor estimated the cost of a double storey to be in excess of $4m.
The architect will try and produce some more options prior to Xmas that will hopefully come within budget.
