Earn $$ and receive reimbursements off your fees
United Hockey Club is look for coaches to deliver hockey into schools across ACT between 3:30 and 5:30 on weekday as part of the Australian Sports Commission Active After School Communities Program.

All coaches will need to complete AASC Community Coach Training Program run by the Australian Sports Commission. This course is a recognised community coaching course. United Hockey club will organise attendance at the coaching course.
The Active After School Program run for 7 weeks during each school term. Each session is 1hr long. Depending on the number of kids there may be up to 3 coaches at a school.
Payment to Coaches
Coaches will be paid $30 per session - $210 per term/per school. If coaches are available 5 days a week they can make up to $1050 per term.
In addition to payments players will also receive $5 credit per session delivered towards 2011 seasons fees.
E.g Coach 1 delivered 7 sessions to 2 schools for Term 2.
Coach 1 received a payment of $420 for coaching.
Coach 1 received $70 credit towards 2011 fees.
Note: If the coach is not a player they can nominate a player to receive the credit
Coordinator
We are also looking for a person to coordinate and be the contact point for schools and the Sports Commission for the program. The coordinator will receive free fees for the year or be able to nominate a player to receive free fees.
