LADY'S LUNCH ON MAY 25 - HOME GAME - THIS WEEK!!

Kelsey Gade is our very special guest at the Lady's Lunch to be held on the May 25 in our new Social Room. Haileybury past student, actor, model & comedian, Kelsey will bring some extra levity to the day. She has appeared in Neighbours and other TV prodns and has now established a solid following on the comedy scene. Lunch starts at noon with tkts @ $30 (incl a drink on arrival) - all welcome!

SENIOR BLOODS RETURN TO WINNERS STALL

The Seniors returned to the winners stall with a hard fought win over Fitzroy. While ahead all day, the hosts were persistent.The Ressies and Thirds were undermanned and beaten by better sides, while the U/19s, on the improve, just went down at Old Westbourne. The School were beaten by Caulfield Grammar. Next week we take on Old Melburnians, Old Paradians for the U/19s and Scotch for the school.

FITZROY AT BRUNSWICK STREET OVAL & WESTBOURNE

This weekend we travel to the historic Brunswick Street Oval where we take on Fitzroy in all three grades. The 3rds kick off proceedings at 9.20am in another "Triple Header". The U/19s are travelling to Old Westbourne in Northern NSW (just kidding!) where they will be aiming to break their maiden status.The School First XVIII take on Caulfield Grammar and will be looking to make amends - good luck

HAVE HAD BETTER RESULTS - SOME POSITIVES THOUGH

Brought to you by William Buck - In front of a huge crowd AJAX came ready to play and proved too good in the Seniors, particularly in the 1st half. They also had more energy in the Reserves while we won the game on forfeit in the Thirds. The U/19s were competitive but losing to Old Ivanhoe while the Haileybury 1st XVIII went down to Geelong Coll at home. Read on for the Oracle's musings -

The U19s travel out to Old Ivanhoe's Chelswood Park. The U19s come back to Princes Park for a social occasion after their epic journey. The Hailebury 1st XVIII play Geelong C at Keysborough.

Brought to you by Effective Freight Management - The Seniors returned to the winners list with an important and inspiring victory over Old Brighton at Brighton. Lappas' Legends won over Xavier at Xavier, while there was no joy for the other teams. The Oracle's report is a beauty. Next week we host AJAX at Princes Park which will be a ripper as they are 3-1 also.

TRIPLE HEADER AT BRIGHTON AND AJAX FOR U/19s

This weekend the boys will be playing in a triple header against Old Brighton at the Brighton Beach Oval. The Thirds kick the day off at 9.20am. The U/19s are hosting AJAX at Princes Park from 2pm. This will be a great opportunity for a quick response to last weekend's results. All supporters are encouraged to get along to either venue to support the magenta and black.

Big round of football this weekend with SKOBS and Old Camberwell the opposition. After a few wins, this will be the most important round so far. The boys have been playing well and there is a good vibe which should take us a long way.

Astoria Honda present round two this Saturday with Parkdale Vultures & Old Geelong our opponents. The Seniors kicking off at 2pm & the Reserves (11.40am) will be playing at Princes Park for the first time while the Thirds will be hosting Parkdale at McKinnon Res from 11.40am. The U/19s will be gracing the expanses of Como Park in South Yarra for their 9.20am clash with the chaps from Old Geelong.

BIG LUNCHEON THIS SATURDAY APR 20 BY MOO MEATS

This Saturday sees the seniors grace Princes Park for the first time. And of course this occasion warrants the first Moo Meats Luncheon for the year. It only costs $25 and you will be well fed and be able to enjoy the new surroundings - watching the magoos hopefully have another win.

2 BIG WINS AND A COUPLE OF LOSSES

It was a solid start to Season 2013 - good wins from the Seniors and Reserves while the Thirds and U/19s met strong Old Xaverian outfits. ROUND ONE AWAITS

This weekend sees the first round of season 2013. The Seniors take on Werribee down the road, the Thirds play away against Old Xavs while the U/19s will be the first magenta and black side to call Princes Park home when they host Old Xaverians. The start of every year is exciting but this one even moreso. There are many new faces and of course a new home. A full preview can be found here.....

MOVE TO PRINCES PARK CAULFIELD SOUTH

We are delighted to announce that the Seniors and Reserves will play home games at Princes Park, South Caulfield for Season 2013. The U19s will also play at Princes Park, when the Seniors are playing away. This will enable the 3rds to play their home games at McKinnon Oval. We start training at Princes Park this week. SEASON LAUNCH THIS FRIDAY - ALL WELCOME

The off field season launch is on again this year driven by the past players association. This is a huge event that will be held at the Precinct Hotel 60 Swan St Richmond at 6pm (just near the Richmond Station & Swan St Tram). TRAINING RETURNS TO MCKINNON ON WED.

This week we return to McKinnon for our first training session there this year. We are still training at Haileybury Keysborough on Tuesday March 5 but have the opportunity this week to train at McKinnon on Wednesday evening where the ground looks as good as it ever has. Supporters are always welcome to come down and be part of the anticipation.

SORRENTO TRAINING CAMP A GREAT SUCCESS

Forty odd of the keenest went to Sorrento to attend the Langford Jones Homes training camp. The camp had everything - some fitness work, some teamwork, a bit of clear thinking, some navigation work, some night footy at the Conti and a bit of discipline and harsh treatment in the form of an early Sunday morning run. Early days but so far so good for a 2013 (every team looks good in Feb).

Only 61 more sleeps until the first bounce in 2013. All the recent football news hasn't been about footy so we look forward to the ball actually been kicked around. The Committee has been busy and there have been a couple of important developments including the introduction of a thirds team this year.

HERE COMES 2013

The AGM is finished and a new committee elected under President Hicks. Loads of work to do off field to ensure the club progresses socially, financially and can reach its goals on field. There are plenty of challenges and plenty to do to support the on field plans. The committee is hard at work already but pleased to accept willing volunteers.

HAILEYBURY 1ST XVIII FINISH 3RD

The Haileybury School 1st XVIII finished 3rd in this years APS football competition. The competition was won by StKevins with 9 wins out of 10, Brighton with 8 wins 1 draw and Haileybury with 7 wins. Coach David Lappage was pleased with the development of the team through the year and is looking forward to next year. Matthew Lloyd assisted Lappa throughout the year.
