That sound you heard was the noise of the Bloods coming back to earth. After a great victory, the week before, Saturday's game against one of the competition leaders proved somewhat disappointing. The opposition were certainly up for the occassion while our boys appeared to be second to the ball all day. Vossy and Chis were great all day, while Jake Muir was probably the best of the forwards. OLD HAILEYBURY 3.4 4.7 10.10 12.11-83 OLD MELBURNIANS 4.1 11.7 16.8 23.10-148 OLD HAILEYBURY Goal Kickers: B. Voss 3, J. Muir 2, K. Ford, R. Johnson, H. McLauchlan, L. Siapantas, S. Loewe, L. Donnelly So that leaves us having to win the last two games and hoping that the other results go our way. St. Bernards will be no easy task as they will be smarting from their loss last weekend. So we will just have to find the intensity we toook to St Kevins. RESERVES OLD MELBURNIANS 2.3 3.7 4.11 12.19-91 OLD HAILEYBURY 3.2 4.3 5.4 5.4-34 OLD HAILEYBURY Goal Kickers: D. Mason 2, B. Douglas Ray White Goal of the Day It came late but was still our best goal of the day with Chsi finishing off hard work to get the ball to Hammer who coolly converted in the last quarter. Forever the optimist, this lifted the boys and we starting to mark more of an impact. BOQ Mark of the Day In difficult windy conditions it was hard for the players to take any "screamers".
