For the last 8 years Morningside AFC have thanked the mums, wives, sisters and the ladies of the wider community for being 'footy mums' or the friends of our footy mums with a luncheon. This luncheon also supports a different cancer organisation each year.
With our naming rights partner, Hawthorne Garage we are launching our Pink Panther Membership on Friday 31 May.
Team Photos are happening this weekend. It is a tight schedule due to game times so we asking all families to make sure they are at the club 15 minutes prior to their allocated photo time.
Youth photos will be take in age groups. Full playing strip to be worn in the photos (with socks pulled up and shirts tucked in) and don't forget to bring your smiles!
All Under 12 and Under 16 training has been cancelled tonight. Please keep an eye out for further information for training if it keeps raining this week.

Come along to our community Big Aussie BBQ in the Hawthorne Park Car Park on Australia Day.
It's going to be a fantastic day despite the rains. We have pies, sausages, lamingtons, snow cones, egg and spoon and sack races, a mechanical surfboard, jumping castle, free face painting and a big Aussie rock band.
Our Big Aussie BBQ will kick off at 10am on January 26 at Hawthorne Park, between Riding and Hawthorne Road.
It will all be held undercover.

After countless hours spent watching club, school, regional, state and national level games of football the initial Brisbane Lions Academy squad for boys turning 13 - 16yrs of age in 2013 has been finalized.
As part of the launch of the Queensland Government’s Get in the Game initiative supports sport and recreation at the grassroots level at MAFC for all local sporting clubs, Sports Minister Steve Dickson MP and Aaron Dillaway MP, Member for Bulimba called in early to inspect first hand the progress of our new change rooms.
Morningside Juniors have registered for the Queensland Government, 'Get Started - Funding to help kids participate'. Get Started assists children and young people who can least afford or may otherwise benefit from joining a sport or recreation club.

The Morningside Panthers AFL Club is very pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant of $300,000 by the State Government to replace its dilapidated Change Rooms with new state of the art Dressing Rooms. The total value of the project is $400,000, made possible with additional significant contributions of $50,000 from both the AFLQ and the Brisbane City Council .
