A huge presence of Crows supporters turned out to see their Narangba team win a hard fought Grand Final against Ipswich Cats.
The 1st half was very close with Ipswich going into half time 2 points ahead. Narangba came out strong in the 3rd quarter & with all players being hard at the football they piled on the pressure and moved out to a handy 23 point lead by the end of the quarter. This pattern continued throughout the last quarter with the Crows eventually winning by 42 points.
Coach Brett Green said he was impressed by the effort of all players & was so proud of how they performed throughout the finals series. “We always thought we’d meet Ipswich in the Grand Final so it was a fitting finale to great season by both teams. The stronger team won on the day & I’m just so proud of the effort our boys put in today & throughout the finals series.”
All Crows players played a great game in the Grand Final with Brock MacIntosh being voted Best Player on Ground by the Umpires & special mentions go to James Campbell who was nominated by AFLBJ Umpires as one of the best 4 players of all clubs in this Division throughout the season & to Aaron Bailo who kicked 61 goals to season’s end.
