The Youth Footy Teams will commence training on the following dates.  (These dates will be dictated by the weather)

Under 16's Coach - Nathan Manu - Training (Tues/Thurs) starts Thurs 2nd Feb @ 6pm - 7.30pm

Under 14's Coach David Lane - Training (Tues/Thurs) starts 2nd Feb @ 4.30pm - 6.00pm

Under 13's Coach Peter Sherry - Training (Tues/Thurs) starts 2nd Feb @ 4.30pm - 6.00pm

Under 12's Coaches Damian Richards, David Brook and Greg King - Training (Mon/Wed) starts 6th Feb @ 4.30pm - 6.00pm

Please keep checking the website early next week to see if there are any changes to training dates due to the weather.

Coorparoo very popular Auskick programs starts on Sunday the 12th of Feb at Giffin Park.  Online registrations are now open.

In the centre locator in the top right hand corner, enter the post code as 4151 and click on Coorparoo JAFC to register.

The program will run for 8 weeks. 

At the completion of the Auskick program boys and girls turning 5 and 6 in season 2012 will be eable to join the leagues new under 6 comp.  Once again more details on this will be release closer to the date.

Coorparoo Kings and Coorparoo JAFC have appointed 2011 Mt Gravatt Under 18 Coach, Sam Lake to coach the Coorparoo Under 18 side in 2012. 

 Sam the son of former Mt Gravatt Seniors Coach, coached the Mt Gravatt Under 18 side to a Preliminary Final in season 2011.

Well done to the Coorparoo Boy's who have been selected.

Madie Prothroe and Amelia Melican have both been selected in the under 16 SEQ Flames team.  They will play in the state carnival in Cairns in November.  Well done Girls and good luck in Carins.

Well Done to our under 14's to come from 10 goals behind in an unbeliveable come back to take out the under 14 Div 2 Grand Final at Coorparoo on Sunday.  See the score card below!  Well done to the boys and all invloved. 

On behalf of the Coorparoo JAFC Committee, I would like to thank all those who contributed to a fantastic AFLBJ Grand Finals weekend at Coorparoo.  Without your support, in giving up a few hours of your time over the weekend, the weekend would not have been the success that it was.

The families who helped pack up yesterday, I would like to express my personal thanks, as this was the part I was dreading the most.  However we had plenty of help and everyone pitched in and got the job done!  Thank You!

For those who weren’t there late yesterday afternoon, the AFLBJ thanked Coorparoo JAFC for doing a great job in planning and hosting the weekend.  They were very impressed with all of the help we had and did not receive one complaint from the attendees over the two days.

I just goes to show what a great family and community club we really do have at Coorparoo JAFC.
