AFLBJ Gala Awards Night On Tuesday 31st August, the AFLBJ held their annual gala awards night. Coorparoo had two players attend Claude Bukurou and Michael Wyld as a player and coach of one of our under 11 teams.

Both boys play for the U12 Blue team who are playing in the grand final this year. Darcy and Joel along with their U 12 Blue team mates can be seen in action at Zillmere, on sat the 11th at 9.00 am. Coorparoo Kings make Grand Final Both the Kings Seniors and Reserve teams have made it into the Grand Final. They are playing on Sunday the 5th of September at Zillmere. The Reserves kick off at 11.30, with the Seniors starting at 2.15. They would love as much much support at possible. So if you can, head down and support our senior teams. Under 12 Div 6 In Grand Final, Under 12 Div 1 In Preliminary Final The Under 12 Div 6 Team defeated Wynnum 50 - 10 on Saturday to progress straight to the grand final in 2 weeks at Zillmere. While our Under 12 Div 1 side defeated Redlands on Sunday 100 - 41. They will meet Morningside next Sunday (9am Lemke Rd Sandgate) for the chance to play Aslpey in the Grand Final. We would like to see as many supporters as possible next weekend to cheer the boys on. more -->

Redlands Under 12 Development Carnival Last Saturday, Coorparoo entered a team in the Redlands Under 12 Development carnival. The team was made up of 22 boys from our three under 11 teams. They played three games of twelve minute halves in a round robin tournament, winning all three to progress to the semi - finals where they were defeated by a very large, very skill full Sherwood team, who went on to win the title. Rec Footy is back at Coorparoo Once again this year Coorparoo JAFC will be running Rec Footy from early October. So get your teams together.
