Congratulations
must go to Jake Slinger who played his 100th game for Coorparoo on
Sunday. Jake started playing Under 8’s at the tender age of 6 years. His Dad recalls being extremely frustrated in
that first year as apparently, Jake only touched the ball on a few occasions
but always loved being involved in the game.
He has obviously come a long way and is an
important part of the Under 12 team who are current on top of the table. Jake loves playing on the wing because he
enjoys running and having plenty of space.
On Sunday he and his teammates were able to
crash through the banner that was made for his 100th game and after
a close win the team lifted him up and carried him off. Well done Jake and we all hope you keep
enjoying the game for your next 100!
