A quick update about grounds for NSU club members. The wet weather has brought about significant problems for ground usage over the last few weeks. At some point in the season grounds always get very wet but it seems to have come very early this autumn.

We are constantly having dialog with the Auckland City Council and Northern Football Federation in an effort to accommodate everyone playing especially on a Saturday. In the short term we (club volunteers) are (daily) balancing what grounds are available and moving games so we can play at all.... click "more" to read on...more

Thank you to all of you who have kindly donated towards the completion of our Honours Boards in the Club rooms at Allen Hill. We are currently at the $5000 mark with only a $1000 to go to reach our target. See "more"....more

Sadly Edna Towers passed away on Monday morning (March 11th).

Edna and husband Bill joined the club in the 1950s after emigrating from the UK and have remained loyal supporters ever since. They were very active in the junior side of the club, initially, with all three of their boys Barry, Gordon and Glenn playing for the club. Edna was always an active member, being involved on committees and in fundraising. She was also prominent in the social side of the club being a foundation member of the Supporters Club and involved in fundraising functions and social events. Up until late last season Bill and Edna were always seen at our 1st team home games.

Edna was made a life member of the club in 1974.

Our condolences go to Bill and the entire family.

Edna’s service is to be held at Snapper Rock on Monday 18th March at 2.30pm.more

These are available to buy from the club at $20 - the normal retail price for these is $45 so grab yourselves a bargain! Contact Alice on 445 7087. A reminder that we do operate a "boot swap" at the club and we currently have a variety of second hand boots available - you can either bring down your old boots that no longer fit in exchange for another pair that do, or choose a pair in return for a small donation to the club.

We also have a limited supply of second hand shorts and socks available.
