Wests Magpies Basketball Club website
The Wests Basketball Club has been a major particpant in basketball in the ACT for over 35 years. The Club currently fields over 40 teams in both male and female junior and senior competitions.
The Club has a long history of success in both men and womens senior grades and is consistently one of the most sucessful junior clubs particpating in ACT basketball.
The Club is supported by the Magpies Sports Club with whom we have had an affiliation dating back over ten years.
We also boast the support of two major Canberra companies, Totally Workwear and Duncan's Plumbing. Both these companies provide financial support to the Club, significantly assisting us to keep our player fees as low as possible.
Totally Workwear is a provider of all work wear needs and is based in Mitchell, while Duncan's Plumbing is the proud provider of the best plumbing service on offer in the ACT and is based at Page. Please support both of these companies and the Magpies Sports Club.

2013 Annual General Meeting
The Wests Magpies Basketball Club 2013 AGM will be held on Tuesday 21 May 2013 at the Magpies Sports Club, 80/82 Hardwick Crescent, Kippax. The meeting will commence at 7.00pm and we welcome attendance from all interested members.
Winter 2013 Junior Registration
Time to register for the new season which starts after the upcoming school holidays. The Club has now introduced electronic registration and payment through our web site. A link to the registration site is at the top right of this page. Simply click on the "Junior Registration - Winter 2013" heading and you will be taken to the registration site. Follow the instructions from there and complete your transaction with a credit card payment.
Please note that the Club no longer accepts manual registration.
Note: If you are transferring to the Club for the 2013 Winter season please do not register until after you have been cleared by your current Club. If you are unsure please talk to Peter on 0430 848 239.
Senior Premier Divisions Summer Season
3 out of 4 Titles for Wests
Thursday 4 April 2013 - The Senior Club has completed another successful season winning 3 out of the 4 Senior Premier Divisions. On Wednesday night both the Division 1 women and the Division 1 men had thumping victories - the women 65-37 over Ginninderra Rats and the men 93-58 over arch rivals Tuggeranong Vikings.
On Thursday night the Division 2 women, who finished the season with an amazing winning run to make the grand final, having been in 6th place 2 weeks before the finals, went down 37-67 to a very strong Queanbeyan Roadrunners outfit. This was followed by the Wests Black Division 2 men's team overcoming Tuggeranong Vikings 81-68.
Well done to all 5 Wests Magpies teams involved in the summer Premier League.
