U16.5 EBJFNC Netballer Steph Keating was announced the winner of the Spirit of Netball for Rnd 3. Steph continued on from her best on court performance in round 2, helping her team get over the line 22–19 against Redan. Steph was judged to show the greatest amount of respect to those on the court, playing within the fairness of the game and showing great sportsmanship. Well done Steph!
The canteen is our organization’s major source of funding and is critical to the survival of EBJFNC. A canteen roster has been created with every family at the club nominated to help at-least once for the season for a short period of less than 2 hours.

Well done the East Ballarat junior boys who participated in the U/15 V/Line Cup Carnival held recently in Geelong and Melbourne. It is a great achievement to represent your region against the most talented footballers across Victoria.

It is our responsibility to provide an umpire for everyone netball game EBJFNC competes in.
We are seeking expressions of interest from adults interested in joining our club as a Netball Umpire to assist with umpiring duties throughout the season. Please note, there won’t be a requirement for you to umpire every weekend, we are hoping to develop a group of umpires to assist as required. Badged or non-badged umpires are most welcome and may be paid depending on their experience.
The BFNL will be organizing Umpire Accreditation courses through Netball Victoria which is designed to teach potential EBJFNC volunteer umpires the rules and regulations of the game to help foster the development of players at our club.
Due to the GPJFNC going into recession we now have 2 BYES this season.

Ballarat Football Netball League has made a concerted effort in 2012 to try and stamp out all forms of racial and religious vilification from our league through the promotion of our respect matters program that includes our no limits message of social inclusion of people from all backgrounds.
Club favorite, Lance Gullock was announced the 2011 winner of the prestigious "Keith Lawrence Recognition of Service Award" for his outstanding service to the East Ballarat Junior Football Club at the Ballarat Football/Netball League AGM last month. Click on more for full report.
