Major Sponsor Coburns Earthmoving
Tonight we return to the Commercial for a meal and the votes. It would be great to see as many people back there as we can to support the club and the pub.
A Grade had a great win , in a top team effort last week, winning by 10 goals. B Grade blitzed the Koondrook Barham girls and best on court was Bianca Polkinghorne. B Res won again , these girls are really pulling no punches this season, best on was Riley Corrie. Under 17’s battled throughout their game, but will benefit from last weeks experience and move on today. Best on for the Under 17’s was Laura Caccaviello. Under 15’s had a good win, some of last years finals experience is showing through with these young ladies. Best on court was Sam Forster and Madi Andrews. Under 15’s Reserves best on court were Mikayla Burge and Brianna Armstrong. Under 13’s were a bit stiff in not getting the win last week. Best on court was Willow Coburn. In the Under 13’s Reserves Jackelyn Burge was best on court. Remember ladies to get those chocolate sales done and out of the way and return your money to Lee Burrell as soon as you can. Good luck today.
Under 15’s had their first loss for the year last week and it was a tough day at the office for each of the boys. Coach Chris will have them up and firing again today and we should have a great game on our hands. Best players were Rhys Burge, Riley Haberman, Brent Daniels and Nick Threadgold. Under 13’s had a closer game but could not get the goals on the board. Goal kickers were Brent Daniels with 3 and Beau Davey 1. Best players were Lachlan Collier, Brent Daniels, Sam Miliano, Johnny Caccaviello and Lucas Caccaviello. Little bit more practice on the goal kicking and we will have a lot of wins from these boys. The little tackers give it a real crack each week. They are really showing improvement each week. This weeks encouragement awards went to Ollie Scott, Thomas Cleary, Campbell Kelly and Lachlan Bates. Thanks to the sponsors Burtons Store, Nyah West IGA, Koraleigh Store and Subway. Well done to all those who helped with the catering of teas last week.
COLTS struggled again with lack of numbers. We have some fantastic kids at our club and we need a few more to make it a bit easier on them. Please encourage any player who may be the right age to think about joining in, coming along to practice and playing. Last week Zac Caccaviello was the top player in the Colts and received the Coburns Sportspower award. Jake Shadbolt and Justin Caccaviello received Murrays incentives. Mallee Auto Repairs incentive went to Corey Daniels (who also played seniors) and Ethan Saville took home the Burtons Video award. Kyalite Hotel votes went to Zac, Jake and Justin. Good luck today boys give it your best.
Reserves – one word TRAINING. Best player on the day was Adam Buckingham, Lenards Chicken went to Anthony McKee. The Peace wines award went to Troy Magnusson and Northern Valley Stockfeeds award went to Andrew Flanagan. Paul Haberman Painting votes went to Adam, Anthony and Troy. Today is our chance of a big win, lets get in there guys and show we can pull it together on the field.
Seniors were pounded all around the ground last week. Koondrook Barham are slick and we just couldn’t maintain the intensity that they had. Today will see us turn it around and we should be 2 and 2 going into the Interleague weekend. Tooleybuc Sporting Club player of the day was Mr Consistant Luke Maher, The Poon Boon Lamb award went to Cal Dobbin, Peace Wines award went to Troy Parker and Doeys meats voucher went to Jack O’Shaunessy. Coburns Earthmoving votes went to Luke, Cal and Troy. Good luck today guys , don’t let those Doggies bite.
Good luck to all the players who have made it into Interleague teams in the netball and football. For those others enjoy your weekend off and lets get back and win some games for the club.
Remember that there are Training Tops being ordered. Need to be paid for and ordered by 26th May , please see Vicki for these. Coming up in June is the Goods and Services Auction. A very important night for the club. If you can donate items or services (keep it clean) catch up with Mark Connick and his committee. It’s a big job to organize the show .
We will roster teams to do Sunday cleanups after home games from now on. Its not fair for the same people to do this every home game. Once a season is all it should be. Please make yourself aware of the roster. It will be up in the rooms.
Good luck today. Go Demons.
