Welcome to the home of the Rosebud Football Club!!!

At the end of 18 rounds we have found our 1st's in 4th place - now comes the Finals!!  We look forward to the return of Dan Giarrusso next week. Check out the MPNFL page for venues and times, prices for finals.

Our Reserves played tough footy, at times it was hard fought and frustrating football, which is always entertaining for the spectators, and finished the Home and Away season in 9th position. There were some great games throughout the season giving great hopes and targets for next season. Injuries played a big part in our season, hopefully we can get a clear run next season and keep everyone fit and strong.

The Under 18's ended their season in 7th spot and also showed some excellent promise for next season. Several boys got a run in the senior's, well done Jamie Clarke, the U18 captain showed great commitment and gave his all, every time he hit the field. Sage Opitz, Anthony and Tim Bos also were out there mixing it up with the big boys, along with Jonathon Palmer, giving a Sorrento player a well deserved bump in the last game! Sam Dow made his mark during the year as well. Great work boys. There was also an u18 who has never played junior footy who made a decent impact this year and to his credit, no-one would be able to pick who he was, look out for huge improvements, Alex will only get better and better.

We had our "Barkies Bonanza" draw, which was well attended and plenty of people got some great items at the Goods and Services Auction. Congratulations goes to David Barkes who took out first prize and quickly donated a large portion back to the Club, a very generous man.

To clear things up, the Draw is named Barkies Bonanza, in honour of David's massive support to the Club but the major prize is not donated by David, it is from the proceeds of the ticket selling and fund raising done by the Club throughout the year, he just happens to be a very lucky man who purchases tickets, just like the rest of us. Next year, I am getting him to rub some luck on my ticket!!

The Club has planned a great family day on September 25 - AFL Grand Final Day at the rooms. $50 will get you in, get you fed, get a few drinks into you and all the great company you could ask for. We will have the game on the big screen and activities for all ages at half time. More info to come.

There is alot of work that goes into running a Club and hours put in by many people behind the scenes, so remember to say thanks to all the helpers and officials  when you get a chance, I know they would really appreciate it.

Sincere thanks and appreciation goes to Paul Jamieson our Head Trainer who will be taking a step back next season, his committment to the health and well being of the players has been outstanding for a long time and whilst he will still be a part of the Rosebud Family, will be taking it a bit easier next season.

We would also like to acknowledge the rest of our training staff - Grant, Peter,Mark, Russell and Marty for all their continued efforts and committment to the Club.

The Club will be looking for a new Head Trainer for season 2011, please contact Rob on 5986 2070.

Lets get behind the Boys for the finals, who knows how far they can go - Go Buds!!
