Qualifying Final

Not a good result for the Tiges last weekend with the Thirds and C Grade both losing their respective qualifying finals.

In the Netball the girls fought back well after looking well out of the game at the last break eventually going down by just 4 goals, the goal scorers were Tegan Vogel with 18, Sarah Everson (pictured right) 12 and Sally Williams 10 with Tegan and Christina Lunt among the best players.

The 3rds boys were outplayed by Yarrawonga in what was their worst defeat of the season, and now will need to put the loss behind them in the must win final against Wodonga.
There weren't many positives to come out of the game against Yarra, however Lachlan Trethowan led from the front and Corey Kimber keeps getting better after returning from injury recently,  Cam White, Jackson McGrath and Will Moffitt also played well. Dylan Singh was the only multiple goal kicker with 2 goals.

On the social side of things this years Best & Fairest will be held at the club on Saturday 11th October, tickets are on sale now for $35 per person, for reservations please call the club on 60211180.
Congratulations to recently retired board member Tanya Sawyer and husband Barney on the arrival of their first born, Charlie Thomas, good to see that Tanya is recovering well and still working on preparations for the B&F night.
Also congratulations to our junior club's U13's and coach Jim Silvestro on their thrilling grand final win, getting up by 1 point after the game went into extra time.

Good luck to the Reserves, Thirds and C Grade netballers this week and lets all lend our support to the teams in their quest to continue their finals campaigns for 2008.
