Winter 2015 - Welcome and Goodbye

With a new season commencing soon, we will be welcoming new players to the club for the first time playing basketball and some transferring from other clubs.

Unfortunately this also means that we will be saying good-bye to a few as well. We would like to acknowledge the following players who will be leaving after a long successful playing career with Hoppers Crossing Basketball Club.

Shannon Jacobs - our 391 game veteran will unfortunately not make the 400 games with us. Shannon will be continuing her basketball career with Corpus Christ and the Werribee Devils - U18 first team. We hope to see her shine and prosper in the years to come, so all the best to Shannon.

Jacqueline Lake (309 game veteran) and Madeline Norling (216 game veteran) will be retiring from basketball to pursue their studies and other passions. We wish them both good luck.

Tiffany Draghiciu - a 272 game veteran didn't see much action last season as she continues to develop her game in the VJBL with the Melbourne Tigers. We wish her all the best for the future.

Danny Southgate - a 255 a game veteran who started playing in U8s back in 2005. After joining the Devils he moved across to Cambridge for four seasons from 2009 then returned to his beloved club from 2011. Danny didn't make our 300+ members list but was always considered one. We will miss his 3 point bombs and wish him luck for the future.

Jarrod Vella - a 214 game veteran will be leaving us to join St Peters in the new season. We wish Jarrod all the best with his new team in the U18/20 men.

I would like to say thank you to all the players above for your loyalty, commitment and dedication to our club and your teams. Best of luck to you all.
