Pre-Season Training / Recruits

The final training session for 2013 will be on Monday 16th December at Morton Park, followed by a BBQ for everyone at 7.30. Numbers have been fantastic pre Xmas with over 40 players at each session.

2014 Senior Committee

At the recent AGM the 2014 Senior Committee was appointed. We're pleased to announce that Garry Connolly is the new Club President, and will be supported by Vice-Presidents Gerard Harkins and Mark Paterson. Mike Tuminello is Secretary and Brian Hillier takes on the Treasurer role.more

Under 19s Coach Appointed

The Club is pleased to announce that Paul Harte has been appointed to the role of Under 19 coach for season 2014. Paul comes to us from the juniors as a two time premiership coach of the U/11 (2011) and U/12 (2012) teams. Paul coached the U/15s this year into the finals. We are also very pleased to announce that Paul Callanan Jr. has accepted the role as assistant coach of the U/19 team. --->more

Kyle Matthews to join the Burners for 2014-15

We are delighted to announce that Casey Scorpions Kyle Matthews has today signed up with the mighty Burners for at least the next two seasons.
Kyle, a quality midfielder, has been captain of Casey for 5 or the last 6 seasons and will help the club directly on field and help grow our younger players as an assistant coach to Peter Banfieldmore

Under 19s win Division 1 Premiership!

The Blackburn Football Club Under 19’s have capped off a consistent year of football by winning the 2013 Division One Premiership against a spirited Lilydale at Bayswater Oval.
The team finished the home and away season on top and won the 2nd Semi Final against East Ringwood.

Courtney Young - Female Coach of the Year

Current Coach of one of our Under 12 Girls team and former Blackburn junior player Courtney Young received the Female Coach of the Year Award at the AFCA Central Region Awards on Wednesday 5 September.
Courtney is actively involved in coaching has also been involved this year as an assistant in our Under 14 A grade side. as a Club we are extremely proud of Courtney and her achievements.more

BJFC - Agrees to process and pay EFL registration and increased insurance fees

The EFL has introduced a new player registration and insurance process for 2103. Blackburn Juniors Committee will be processing the registration forms and paying all insurance in 2013.more

Blackburn Juniors Win Australia Day Award

The Blackburn Junior Football Club was presented with the Australia Day Trophy by the Mayor of the City of Whitehorse on Australia Day. The trophy is presented to a local sporting or recreation group that provides opportunities that benefit the broader Whitehorse community.more
