The Blackburn Football Club is seeking new players to join our Under 17 teams in 2012. In 2012 we plan to field two Under 17s teams: a top age team based on our Under 16s team from 2011 and a bottom age team based on our Under 15s team.

2012 Blackburn Juniors Registration Day
Blackburn Junior Football Club will be holding its annual registration day on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 11.00am to 1.00pm at Morton Park Central Road Blackburn (Melway Reference 48 A10).

Girls wanted to play football in 2012
The Blackburn Football Club is looking for girls who are interested in playing football in 2012.The Eastern Football League is planning to run an Under 11 and an Under 14 girls’ football competition in 2012. All games will be played at a neutral venue, away from boy’s games.

Vale Shaun Bergin
This morning (Tuesday 20th September 2011) the Blackburn Football Club was advised that Shaun Bergin from Balwyn Football Club had passed away as a result of serious injuries received during the EFL Qualifying Final on Sunday 4th September.
Everyone at Blackburn Football Club - the players, their families and club officials are devastated by this morning’s tragic news.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaun Bergin’s family and his wider football family at this time.
We had all been hoping and praying for a speedy recovery.
Jeffrey Ryan was absolutely distraught when he heard the news about his fellow player.
The rest of the team is also deeply saddened.
As a mark of respect to Shaun, and with the approval of his family and officials at Balwyn, our club will hold a private memorial service in his memory.
At this heartbreaking time, our players and their families, the officials and the broader Blackburn Football Club community want to gather together to support one another.

Congratulations to our junior Grand Final Teams
The Blackburn Football Club wishes to congratulate all of our junior teams on yet another very successful season.
In particular we would like to congratulate all seven teams that participated in the finals, including our three Grand Finalists:
- Under 11 Blacks – A Division Premiers 2011, coached by Paul Harte.
- Under 12 Blacks – A Division Premiers 2011, coached by Mark Roberts.
- Under 13 Reds – D Division Runners Up 2011, coached by Michael Edmonds.

We hope to see everyone at our Annual Presentation Day on Sunday August 21, 2011, when we can celebrate the close to the 2011 season.
