Bibbenluke Carnival 27th March 2010

This years Bibbenluke Carnival turned out to be a huge success, with 42 teams competing on the day from U7's through to U16's.

A special thanks to Group 16 MRL President Neil Baker, Secretary David Granger CRL development officer Gary Stevenson for their assistance on the day.

A big thank you to all parents who helped out on tables, Also thank you to Alfie Mustard and Robert Peck for looking after our U7's on the day. Thanks to Janice Peck for the photo's she took of the kids and to the Referees, first aid officers, water runners and all the other coaches.

But the Biggest THANK YOU goes to the ALL the kids who travelled from near and far and played on the day as without you the day wouldn't go ahead. So THANKS for a great day.

25 All after 50 years

The Bombala Blue Heelers have squared the ledger with Fairy Meadow after 50 years of battle in "The clash of the Giants".

Both Kevin Purss and John "Ginger" Leigh would never have imagined the hugh impact their game in 1961 would have on the two communities. 50 years on, the event was marked with a wonderful dinner at the Fraturity Club in Fairy Meadow. There were over 300 guests including a special apperance of many of the original boys from the 1961 team. Kevin Purss was represented by his wife and son.

Jim & Marie Hawker, Rita Cartright and Rob Buckley should be very proud of their efforts as it was a totally enjoyable weekend that will last in our memories for years.
