About Us
The Billabong Crows formed through a amalgamation between two of the
oldest rival clubs in the Coreen and District Football League. First of
the clubs is the Urana Bombers which is located west of Wagga Wagga and
Albury and is a proud football town. The Bombers joined forces with one
of their fiercest rivals the Oakland Hawks. These two clubs have had
numerous fierce contests since they first met on a football field. To
many people they did not see this merger coming however at the start of
the 2005 season the shocking decision to merge the clubs was made. The
new side was called the Billabong Crows. The Billabong Crows attracted
some good players with the likes of Clinton Renner, Jonathon Creenune,
Cameron Bakes and Sam Wooden of Lockhart taking over as head coach of
the newly formed club. The new friendship between the townships should
pay off in a few seaons time. Other clubs in the league are on notice,
the Billabong Crows are on the rise.
