NO TRAINING TUESDAY AND PANTON HILL HOTEL THURSDAY

With the bye next Saturday and a hard slog over recent weeks there will be no training this Tuesday and Thursday. However, there is an optional swim at Eltham Leisure Centre Tuesday at 5:30pm for players, a light kick Thursday at Diamond Creek from 6pm followed by dinner at the Panton Hill Hotel from 6:30pm. All welcome to come to the pub and join in dinner to support one of our major sponsors.

ROUND 5 - DOMINANT HILLS STAY ON TOP

A dominant performance by Panton Hill yesterday against second placed Reservoir has kept them on top of the ladder with a weeks rest to come before taking on Thomastown. The Reserves had to work hard all day but eventually came away with a deserved win.

ROUND 4 - COMPREHENSIVE WIN AT HEIDELBERG WEST

Panton Hill took the lead right from the first quarter and never looked headed on its way to a big win against Heidelberg West today. The Hills really enjoyed the spaces on the big ground and hopefully felt right at home as the return home match will also be played at Heidelberg. The Reserves also had a decisive 8 goal win. CRACKNELL RESERVE SET FOR WINTER BREAK

The redevelopment of Panton Hills home ground at Cracknell Reserve is progressing well with a good cover of grass. The warm season grass will basically lay dormant over winter and will be waiting for the warmer weather and a bit of rain later in the year to continue to grow. There will be no footy on the ground over winter and minimal impact with cricket back in summer.

LIFE MEMBERS AND PAST PLAYERS DAY RESCHEDULED

The life members and past players day planned for Saturday 11 May @ Yarrambat (Reservoir game) has been rescheduled for the big clash against Thomastown on 13 July at Hurstbridge. This will provide better facilities and enable more people to attend. Get the message out to past players.

PLAYER MEMBERSHIPS NOW DUE

Players are asked to start paying off their players membership fees and and any player gear purchases prior to the commencement of the season. This year membership is $200 which includes a club polo shirt. Payments can be arranged via Jayson Burliegh or Scott Walker. Credit card, cheque or cash welcome.

Unless otherwise advised, from now on we train Tuesdays @ Marngrook Oval in Diamond Creek and Thursdays @ Hurstbridge High School Oval followed by a meal and team selection at the Panton Hill clubrooms.

REVISED TRAINING SCHEDULE CHANGES

There are a number of important changes to the training schedule in the coming weeks that players need to be aware of. Tuesday 12 March will be 6:30pm at Eltham College and then Friday at Eltham College. From there, Mondays and Wednesdays at Eltham College.

TURTLES TRIUMPHANT IN YESTERDAYS PRACTICE GAME

With the cancellation of the Kinglake game yesterday was the first practice game for the Hills. Eltham College started the stronger of the sides which was the difference in the end following three more even quarters. Meanwhile, the Hills had a comfortable win in the Reserves. Great to see so many new Redbacks players in the action with a lot of regulars absent.
