The Chatham Cup national knock-out tournament has all NZ clubs enter 1 team & DUFCs entrant is M2 MacWeld.
After an excellent 4-0 win against Glen Eden in Round 1, MacWeld went on to play Albany NRFL2 in Round 2 at Rosedale Park.
It was a long shot going up against an NRFL2 side & MacWeld succumbed with a 7-0 loss. Great effort guys, now the focus is back on retaining top rung of M2 ladder!
Please ensure you have read our Club's codes and the Federation's regulations for your age group. Theses can be found in the 'Resources' files at the top of this page - look under your club section.

In December, members were invited to tell us their views in an online survey. Everyone who responded went into a draw for free membership this season. The lucky winner drawn at the Grading Meeting was Heather Urquhart (Small Whites manager) - congratulations!
Thank you to all those who took the time to complete the survey.

It's been over 20 years in the pipeline but 2013 will see dry boots!
The long awaited & much needed drainage work is now completed on the top fields so we head into next season with well-drained pitches.
In addition, sand carpeting & irrigation system on #2 field is done, just waiting on the grass to grow - hooray!!

The Whole of Football Plan (WoFP) was launched by NZ Football in 2012, introducing new formats for many age groups. Many clubs in Auckland (including Drury UFC) moved quickly into the new formats, with the last few clubs converting in 2013. By 2014, WoFP will be the only accepted format in New Zealand.
More detailed information on WoFP is available by clicking on 'more' below...
DUFC now has a Facebook page!! We'll still have our club website for official notices but this gives members a social forum to post messages, photos and team & player news.
It will be moderated and open to view by the public (including young players) so only post what you're happy for everyone to see!
To find us, click on the Facebook logo link at the top of the column on the right of this page... happy posting!
Despite a disappointing turnout, 5 hours + 8 volunteers = a lot of work done but still a few jobs.
Thanks to the 'regulars' who got the changing rooms, clubrooms & gear ready for the season: Martin S, Ivan, Ellis, Robert, Russ, Angela, Hardeep & Martin H (and Ellis, Stephanie, Marlene & Angela last weekend sorting kits).

Ever wondered which term to use?
Football as we know it become 'Association Football' in England in 1863 with 'association' being abbreviated to 'soccer'.
In NZ, Rugby as the dominant game was known as Football & our code was Soccer, until 2007 when we changed to Football in line with international standards.
Soccer' now eclipses other codes in youth sport - our Football future looks bright!
Club Secretary Ian Cathcart has a great Xmas present for our Youth players - 59 player shirts, 4 goalie shirts & 4 kit bags, courtesy of Grassroots Trust.
The shirts are the smart new Vertigo design we hope to move the whole club into as shirts are replaced so it's fantastic to get four teams worth of strip.
Thank you Grassroots Trust, and huge thanks yet again to Ian for his sterling effort!!
A super Xmas present for the Senior teams... Ian Cathcart does it again with a grant approved for a new full Senior kit including strip, balls & goalie gear.
Excellent news and another superb effort from Ian. Thank you Four Winds Foundation!

All 'home' matches will still be moved to other venues this week as our fields still need to be mown & marked and are only open for training.

Club Based Referees - remember to have your shirt AND card with you
First Sovereign Trust have approved Ian Cathcart's grant for a Senior Away Strip valued at $1304. Our Senior teams do have strip clashes occasionally and our old alternative strip was basically t-shirts and well worn, so this is a great asset. The away strip are standard DUFC green shorts & socks with a red shirt.
We plan to get several away strips in Youth sizes next.
Great work again Ian!!
