'Football' or 'Soccer'

Ever wondered which term to use?
Football as we know it become 'Association Football' in England in 1863 with 'association' being abbreviated to 'soccer'.

In NZ, Rugby as the dominant game was known as Football & our code was Soccer, until 2007 when we changed to Football in line with international standards.
Soccer' now eclipses other codes in youth sport - our Football future looks bright!

Another Grant! First Sovereign Trust for Senior Away Strip

First Sovereign Trust have approved Ian Cathcart's grant for a Senior Away Strip valued at $1304. Our Senior teams do have strip clashes occasionally and our old alternative strip was basically t-shirts and well worn, so this is a great asset. The away strip are standard DUFC green shorts & socks with a red shirt.
We plan to get several away strips in Youth sizes next.
