2012 UNDER 16 SEASON REVIEW

Today I have just finished watching the various RDFL Junior grand finals and found myself pondering the balance between the desire to play off for the ultimate prize and the development and individual achievements that our team had throughout the year. Although our year finished without mak-ing the finals, I have been really happy with our year.more

2012 UNDER 14 SEASON REVIEW

The season over and we’ve had time to reflect.

With all things considered despite only getting the two wins for the year, I would say the Under 14's had quite a successful year.

Success in junior football is based on development and I think everyone involved would say the kids have improved immensely over the season.more

2012 UNDER 12B SEASON REVIEW

I would like to start out by thanking the Under 12B kids for providing me with my most enjoyable season as a coach over the past season. It was most satis-fying to stand back and watch as a parent and a coach and see the improve-ment in all the children throughout the season.more

2012 UNDER 12C SEASON REVIEW

The year has drawn to an end in what has been a diffi-cult but enjoyable football season. It has been great to see a few new faces to the team who haven't played be-fore. They have worked hard on improving their skillsmore

Under 12 Year In Review & Award Winners

Coaches Review

The year started off with solid numbers registering to play Under 12's for season 2011. The attitude and willingness to learn from the children was evident from the start. An emphasis was placed upon getting the ball in the kids hands as many times as possible whilst we had them up there for two hours a week.

To the kids credit, as the season progressed it was becoming more evident that their skills and confidence were improving. By the time the practice matches came around we were almost ready to go. After two practice matches against some two very good sides in Kilmore and Rolling Meadows, I was confident that the kids were going to put up some good performances throughout the year.

Coaches Review

Premiership season!

What a great 2 words to start my end of year review with. From our first training session this year I felt our team would have an enjoyable season. I realised that our team was will-ing to listen and learn to what our goals were for the season. It wasn't all about football, our goals were to create a great team environment and for all players to know that everyone’s role and place in the team were as equally important. I know we achieved that goal in more ways than I could have imag-ined. The courage, endeavour and skill our team brought to each game were a pleasure to coach and to watch each week.

Under 9 Year In Review & Award Winners

Coaches Review

First of all l would like to congratulate every child who played football for the Lancefield Junior Football Club for a great season, and also to all the coaches for the time and effort they put into the children this year. Being my first year as a junior coach following on from last year as a senior coach was extremely enjoyable. Friday night training ses-sions and Sunday morning game days came around very quickly from week to week and I felt the kids were really en-joying and improving their football during those weeks. The kids tried to learn some basic game structures and contin-ued to develop their ball skills and it was always great to see their smiling faces and share their enthusiasm.

From The Committee... The Year In Review

Another year has flown by and the end of footy season is upon us once more. No more early starts on Sundays or cold and wet training nights!

Our mission as a club is to provide a fun and family friendly environment in which the kids can play and enjoy their football. We strive to develop the children and teach them not only football but also about contributing to the team environment and the principles of sportsmanship. We believe as a club we continue to meet grow and sup-port these ideals, it has been really pleasing to hear parents, umpires and officials from other clubs comment on how well our teams play or how much they have en-joyed playing against us. As a club we also take pride in being one of the largest chil-dren’s sporting groups in the area and are constantly looking at ways to contribute to the community, we have been working with the Senior Football Club to improve the facilities of the park and recently were awarded a grant from the Macedon Range Shire Council to purchase a defibrillator which will not only provide peace of mind to our members but also provide a valuable asset for other who use Lancefield Park.
