Nomads United, First Kicks
President B march on in their grade with a perfect start to the season six from six. Keep it up!!

Nomads United First Kicks Football aims to develop a child’s social skills, team building, communication and health and fitness through fun football based activity.

The philosophy is that a child has more opportunities to have touches on the ball than a traditional environment allowing the child to build confidence and skills necessary for football.

12th Grades at St. James Park - 4th May 2013

The first team celebrated in the best way possible by beating top of table Ferrymead at Barnett Park 1-0. Chris Andersen scoring in the 89 minute. This game was significant as it was Nomads United 200th game in the top grade of MPL.

Tucked away next to railway lines is Nomads United second home park of St. James Park. This is where two intermediate field are located. This Saturday both 12B and 12C were playing at home against Selwyn and Waimak.

In both games Nomads teams played with determination with number goals being scored. What was notable was the number of girls in each Nomads teams holding their own and creating problems for their opposition. A special mention must be given to the parents on the sideline supporting their child. Talking to a number of players they really appreciate the support from the sidelines.

Soccer is a winter sport

Saturday 20th April will be remember for the weather. The weather gods turn on the rain all day and broke the drought. Probably the worse affected games were the ones starting at 12.30. Both the reserves and under 17 played some awesome football and dominated their games at Tulett park.

With everyone's time being so precious these days, making time now to share your child's interests will help cement your relationship with them for years to come.

You may be feeling that you don't have what it takes. You might know how to play soccer or you might not have any knowledge of the game at all. Don't let this concern you as there is a lot of information on soccer available and knowledge can be acquired.
