Junior Sign On INFORMATION

Junior sign on will be held on the second weekend in February ( 11th & 12th) from 10am to 2pm.

Sign on will be held in the function room with the flyer  listing all relevant information posted out on January 25th

"MEET THE TEAM" the whole team

"MEET THE TEAM" day will be held on Sunday 5th February in an effort to allow all supporters, players, coaches, volunteers, staff and Board members to socialise as we prepare to launch into the 2012 season.

The club will once again field teams in the NEAFL, S.E.Q.AFL "Division 2" ( formerly State Association Div 1)  and "Division 1" under 18s

Travis Johnstone joins Hornets

Former Melbourne and Lions player Travis Jhonstone, has joined Aspley after parting ways with the Redland Bomber after one year at Victoria Point.

The Hornets are excitied about the wealth of experience and talent that Travis brings to the young squad. Travis is very determined to have an impact in 2012 and is looking forward to the challenge with his new club.

Travis will join  as one of the coaching staff to assist  Russell Evans as they prepare for there fourth year in the State League.

Paul Farry to coach u18s

The 2012 u18 campaign officially kicks off on Wednesday 25th January at 6pm Graham Rd with Paul Farry set to embark on his first season as U18 coach after many seasons coaching in the junior ranks.

With our u18 fast becomming a stepping stone for our State League and State Association teams, we are in a position to offer players coming out of u18 football a game at whatever level they decide to pursue.

Hornets snare New Physios

The Aspley Hornets FC is proud to announce its new club Physio after signing a new agreement with RecoverWise Physio & pilates studio in McDowall.

After searching high and low to find suitable replacments for Albany Creek Physio who served the club for 5 season, we have found the very best practice in our region and are looking forward to a long partnership.

RecoverWise is a new business and headed up by Meagan and David Anderson who have opened thier new practice in McDowall shopping Village.

NEAFL kicks off against the Vultures Round 1

Attached is the final draw for the 2012 NEAFL competition  which has been circulated with the Hornets up against Mt Gravat at Dittmar park in Round 1.

In 2012 the Aspley  Hornets will played NT twice as was the case in 2011, however this time we get them on home soil in round 2 of the season. We also have atrip to Canberra to take on the strong Eastlake as well as hosting Ainslie in Round 20.

Watch the website over the next week to get an update on the additions to the list for 2012.

All Aspley players who were registered in 2011 can now re-register for the 2012 season.

HORNETS SNARE CHAMPION ROVER

Thurday  17th November 2011

Matthew Payne, Queensland football’s most decorated player of the past decade, will join the Aspley Hornets for the 2012 NEAFL season.

In the biggest recruiting coup of the local off-season, the champion rover has committed to the club for two years and will join the crew at Graham Road after Christmas as they look to build on their finals debut of 2011.

Hornets win "Club of the Year"

At Monday nights Grogan medal count, the Aspley hornets Football club took home the award for the "Best Club of the Year in the State League.

This comes on the back of a season that has seen both the senior and reserve grade teams making the finals for the first time in the clubs three year history at the top level.

The award is for both on and off season results and is testermant to the development of the club over the last few years.
