Matt Shir set to join Hornets
Matt Shir, the player regarded as one of the best to ever wear the Wodonga Bulldogs jersey has agreed to terms with the Hornets for the next two seasons.
Originally from Benalla, Shir was drafted to Adelaide Crows in 1999 and remained there until 2002.
After leaving Adelaide, he was drafted to Richmond for the 2003 season.
Matt then made the move to Wodonga where he has spent the last 6 years.
Matt is a triple Best & Fairest winner and premiership player from 2004 who has also represented the O & M on many occasions. Matt was also awarded the "Did Simpson" medal for his best afield performance in the 2004 Grand Final.
Matt will be a great acquisition to the Hornets and the coaching staff.
He will relocate with partner Anna and both are looking forward to living in SE Queensland,
