Congratulations Daniel Flaherty A big congratulations and good luck to Senior player Daniel Flaherty for being named CHF in the VAFA state representative side to play this weekend.

Reserve's win on last kick, One's miss out again! In the Reserves a point kicked by Lachie Hutchison broke the deadlock on the last kick of the day to give OEG the points!
In the Seniors, OIG's forward line proved too tall as they kicked away in the 3rd and didn't let OEG back in as they went down by 28pts. more -->
1's go down again, 2's lose a close one. In what was a clash for clear 3rd on the Reserves ladder and a chance to get back into the race in the Seniors, it wasn't to be as St Kevins took the 4 points in each of the days clashes. more -->
3rd's do it for Funky's 200th! The 3rd's had another impressive win over Old Carey as they celebrated John 'Funky' Hughes 200th game for OEG in fine style. more -->
Reserves Storm Home in 2nd win for year The reserves had their backs to the wall at half time being 3 goals down. After the main break, they kicked into gear and started pegging back the lead, eventually taking the lead and winning by 11 points. more -->
Seniors first win after 7-goal final term The Seniors notched their first win for the season on the back of a 7-goal final term in a hard fought game. A strong wind affected both teams all day, with Carey starting strongly kicking away to a 5-goal lead at quarter time... more -->
Congratulations John 'Funky' Hughes - 200 games All players, committee, supporters and coaches congraulate John "Funky Hughes" who becomes just the 10th OEGFC player to reach the 200 games milestone. Starting at the club in the early 90's, Funky has played in a few premierships over the years including the 1995 Reserves and 2006 & 2009 Club 18 Premierships. Everyone involved with OEGFC congratulates John on an outstanding achievement! more -->

St. Bernards too strong for Seniors & Reserves The second season of the Fletcher-Madden Cup was held at the Snakepit in another much anticipated game between the two local rivals. A strong showing for 3 qtrs was not enough as St Bernards ran out 31-point victors. Although undermanned again, the Seniors came out strongly with solid tackling and pressure to keep up with the more highly fancied St Bernards. more -->
U19s make it 2-0 The Under 19s won their second game for the season with a 45-point win over Old Carey at home. The boys jumped out of the blocks to kick away to a 4-goal lead at quarter time and were never headed. Captain Damian Mersini dominated along with Cam Livori and Brad Drysdale. Shaun Guerra booted 5 goals. more -->
Thirds chalk up second win for the season The thirds defeated Old Westbourne by 50 points at home to win their second game of the season. Milesi, Podger, Parker and Howard were named best with Sam Evans kicking 4-goals. more -->
Key Injuries make it a tough day at Uni Blacks Both Seniors and Reserves went into Round 2 undermanned but optimistic of a good result. The Reserves started the day completely outplayed by Blacks, while the Seniors ended up on the receiving end of a 13-goal defeat after having no bench just after halftime. more -->
U19s kick off season with big win The U19s, with new coach Steve Watts, started the season strongly with a massive 108-point victory over Manningham at home. Jumping out of the blocks early, the boys were never headed to win comfortably in a pleasing start to the year. more -->
Thirds comfortable winners over Parade The thirds ended up comfortable 64 point winners over Parade at home with Dean Podger kicking 5-goals to be best on ground. Andrew Parker kicked 4 goals while Sean Howard and Johnny Dalinkiewicz were named best players. Next week the thirds take on Westbourne at home. more -->
Reserves start with a bang while Seniors dissapoint The Reserves team have started 2010 strongly with a solid performance after a convincing round 1 victory by 26 points. With our younger players starring, coach Alex Frazer has a lot to work with. The Seniors meanhwile failed to take their chances and were dissapointing in their first game with Hampton kicking the final 6 goals to finish 4 goal victors. more -->
