2010 Final U18's Squad and Leadership Group Announced
The U18 Gold Coast Stingrays final squad was announced last night at the 2010 U18 Jumper Presentation. After a soild 3 months of training with an initial squad of 60, the squad of 25 to represent the Gold Coast in the upcoming state championships were given there playing jumpers and numbers for the carnival in a low key affair at the Southport Sharks.

Ex Stingray Now A Lion
Bryce Retzlaff became the 28th Gold Coast Stingrays player to be drafted to the AFL after being picked up by the Brisbane Lions in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft.

Stingrays Beaten in Grand Final
The Stingrays have come up short at the final hurdle in their quest to go back to back in the Australian Post state championships. The Northern Raiders claimed the 2009 title in hard fought grand final at Coorparoo on the weekend. In other results the Western Taipans defeated Country Kookaburras and the South East Bushrangers claimed third place with a win over the Sunshine Coast Power.

U16 Intial Squad Selected
The Under 16 Gold Coast Stingrays intial training squad was announced yesterday at the completion of a successful club day held at Carrara. All under 16 Gold Coast clubs played a number of matches in scoarching conditions, from these games two combinde sides were selected to play for a chance to impress the coaches to make the squad.
