Shadow Pulse moves to 4 and 1

Well, it happened again, the Shadow Pulse moved to 4 and 1 last night with a towelling up of the Funk. Playing with 7 players was nice for a change, and after going up by 15 early in the game due to steal after steal from Cade and Johnny 'golden hands' the game was ours to lose. The boys hit their shots, crashed the boards, blocks shots, it was a statistical extravaganza. If only Mick was there with the LIVE Stats.

The Funk tried a few times to regather their team, which included plenty of encouragement, and at the end of half time they even did the hands in the middle team hoopla call, which i havent seen at domestic level since playing juniors. Looking forward to Bobby Edwards putting the scores in and uploading again to see if we climbed up to second position on the ladder.

We had a glimpse of Marquette last night after our game as we sat around talking fantasy nba, who were the team that refused to play us on the basis of last season's players starting fights etc. Apparently they have a few Spectres players and have won the last 3 grand finals, or something like that. They looked good last night, and now they have seen the new look Shadow Pulse hopefully they will show up next time and play. Last time we even had Bubs Lomer there and ready to play when they forfeited last time, you couldnt get a nicer guy or a better sport! (but i still reckon i heard him say the f word one time in the salvo comp)

On a personal level, the left big toe held up well, inflammation was down before the game, and no great signs of pain after it warmed up a big, so i dont think there is an injury there, should be good by next week hopefully. As for the right big toe, that one is still lingering around.

Nice work Big Fella! The Funk got Funked! What odds can I get on the Shadow Pulse for the title? I'm happy to put a few large ones down on the team.

BR told me you had a big game, but moreso - the question is who are the hitmen in your team that Marquette were scared to face? Didn't realise you were all so aggressive...

Apparently Reggie has a good behaviour bond against him from last season, and some of the last season players were trouble makers, but they're gone now. We've only had one tech foul this season, so no trouble here, we just wanna play ball.

I didnt have a great game last night, but Craig Regs did, he was a defensive machine with his customary soft touch baseline jumpers. If the opposition got past the front line Regs was ready every time to give them something to think about. He would've got close to a double double with a couple of blocks and lots of those stats that go un-noticed, and a bit of attitude to go, was very Rasheed Wallace-esque, a spicy meatball if you like.

Haha, a spicy meatball eh? That's a new one.

Thanks for the props Sammy, playing against a team of height deprived youngsters is certainly good for my big man game.

PS Yapper - the odds are good at this stage, you can get the ShadowPulse currently at about 5's. If we knock off the Hawks or Marquette those odds are likely to half.

Just checked our ladder, has just been updated and we're now officially a game and % clear on top!!

GO SHADOWPULSE
