Beijing Day 13
Three more days...six more tips.
Ok, you've got three more days and six more tips to show us how good you are. Tip now on myFiba tipping and tell us who you think will win the men's semis and women's medal matches....tomorrow of course we'll update the Medal matches for men and you can tip there too. Only a few tippers got the women's semi's wrong....but we reckon the split for the remaining games will be match greater.
Game by Game
Australia 90 dft China 56
China have been impressive in this tournament, but even their coach acknowledged they were not in the class of the Australians, who dominated this in one of their best showings of the tournament - and all of this without Penny Taylor, who suited in case she was required but was never called into action. The Australians restricted Liji Miao to just four field goal attempts and 10 points overall, while Jackson and Batkovic both landed doubles.

USA 67 dft Russia 52
If the Aussies were in great form the same cannot be said for the USA who acknowledged after this game that Russia had proved their toughest opponent of the tournament to date. Still, they prevailed, and 15 points is not a narrow margin. Diana Taurasi hit five threes on her way to 21 in leading Team USA, while Tina Thompson backed her up with 15. Coach Donovan played everyone excepting Milton-Jones, as she looked for combinations to get their usually free following game going. No one doubts the US will back to top form come their next game.

The Best of the Boxscores
Both semi-finals winners racked up huge rebounding advantages over their opponents. The USA collected a surprising 52-33 advantage over a big Russian side while the Aussies did even better against China, collecting 56 rebounds to the host nations 34.
Something to watch for
With a single game to come, the USA are the only team in the tournament averaging more than 50% from the field. After 7 games they have connected in 53.7% of their shots to date, a stat hurt by their game with Russia, where they could manage just 33% overall. If they return to their previous shooting form, it spells big trouble for Australia.
Looking Ahead
Outside of the Day 2 match-up between China and the US, perhaps Argentina vs US is the most anticipated game of the whole tourney to date. Spain and Lithuania is a compelling contest but USA vs Argentina will probably have all of the Amercia's on the edge of their seat.
