It’s been a big year - bring on 2009!

Happy Christmas Everyone, from my little Aussie home away from home, here in Moraga.
Christmas is coming up very fast and I haven't put in my wish list yet! Well not exactly, I have wished for a few things but I will have to wait and see.
2008 was a great year for me. I turned 20, joined the Australian Boomers program and the Australian Mens Basketball team for the Beijing Olympics, travelled half way around the world and started my second year back here at St Mary's College in California.
Everything is going well with my studies and basketball - you know what it's like, hectic moments, timelines and deadlines.
We now have a break in studies but the St Mary's basketball program continues over Christmas and New Year. Our only break is Christmas Day and it is straight back into training on Boxing Day - New Year's Day too!
St Mary's will host the Shamrock Classics here at McKeon Pavilion on 27-28 December. Last year we won the Shamrock Classics and are looking forward to another successful two days.
At the moment we have been playing pre-season games and are currently on 7 wins and 1 loss which is a good start. We have a couple of tough games coming up over the next two weeks, that are away from home and we hope we can get a win or two.
The NCAA West Coast Conference season starts in early January so I am looking forward to the challenge that the new season brings for me and the team.
When I was in Beijing I received a lot of cards and letters from family, friends as well as young school children wishing me good luck. I want to thank you all for your support.
For now, have a great and very safe Christmas and New Year and if you have time, you can follow my games on ESPN (ESPN will televise 13 St Mary's games in Australia).
Cheers!
Patty
