Too good to be Finals bound.
I watched again in disbelief as an assembled group of players made a mockery of the shear talent that they are blessed with, to knock themselves out of finals contention. Along the way, they were able to embarrass our great club through the abhorent actions of some players. Well Done. The shame of it all was that they belonged to our club. Now I love to see players be confident in their own ability, however with that comes the need for discipline, stamina, leadership, diligence, responsibility, and being able to filter through all the options to come up with the right decision. Some of these players truly believe that they will go along way in life because the world owes them at least that much. SORRY, time for a reality check. These players are unwilling to pay their own way like responsible adults must, they are unable to find their own way to the games or training, and they have the nerve to treat the very people who try to help them, like the scum found on the soles of their shoes. Adulthood is right around the corner, time to meet it head on, not just wait to be given everything on a platter, because the world just does not happen that way. This playing group in future will be expected to behave a lot better. This group should be the group that our Under 8 kids can aspire to be. They should be able to look up to these guys, and think of them as their very own psuedo-heroes. This should be the playing group that goes out of their way to help out around the club. How can the majority of these players honestly feel that they are ready to take on the rigours of Senior footy, when they act like spoilt little brats.
