Brisbane Roar playmaker Thomas Broich suggested Saturday's 2-0 elimination final first-leg win at Lang Park flattered opponents Central Coast, something pundits soccer betting tips agreed with.

The Roar gave themselves a fighting chance of a Grand Final appearance thanks to goals from Henrique Silva and Erik Paartalu at opposite ends of a performance to savour from Ange Postecoglou's men.

The result secured the defending champions a seventh win in a nine-match unbeaten streak - four months after the national record 36-game sequence.

The Roar can now turn their attentions to the Asian Champions League on Wednesday and a game against Ulsan Hyundai Munsu Cup Stadium in South Korea.

They will then make the trip to Bluetongue Central Coast Stadium in Gosford on April 8 for the decisive second leg against the Mariners.

"We have a big trip and to go into a second semi-final 2-0 that helps big time," Broich said.

He added: "We created so many chances and 1-0 is still a good result but that doesn't reflect the true story of the game."

Broich said the players would not be deterred by two demanding away trips and had every incentive to send the minor premiers packing.

He said: "It will be tough (with the travel) but I think we're on a good run again. We've played some good football and we're creating many chances in every game."

Mariners boss Graham Arnold insisted the tie was not over and demanded a big effort from his players next Sunday when the two teams meet again; live soccer betting fans are expecting a fast and furious encounter.

"I thought it was a great game of football, overall both teams played well," he said.
