Can Ronaldo Shine for Real in El Classico?

It is one of the most anticipated games of the season in all parts of the world as Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid prepare to face each other at the Nou Camp on Saturday night for round two of El Classico.

As usual the two teams are way out in front of the rest of the pack and are neck and neck in the title race. It is Barcelona though who are desperate for the win this time round however as they trail their rivals by 4 points with just five games to play.

Mourinho and Real have been formidable this season, and while Lionel Messi gets most of the plaudits these days, the performances of Christiano Ronaldo for Madrid have been incredible. He will no doubt be one of the players to watch on Saturday.

He had a staggering season in the last campaign as he got a record 40 La Liga goals. This season though, he is already on 41, as he raises the bar once again! He is the complete player in that he scores all types of goals. He has two great feet, he scores the tap ins, the long range strikes, the free kicks, the penalties and even a number of headers with his fantastic leap. He is a real athlete, and he is so important to the Real Madrid counter attack, which they will be relying on this weekend.

There is always the comparisons between Ronaldo and Messi which will never go away. Both players are on a different level to anyone in football over the last 10-20 years and it just a pleasure to see them grace the same pitch in yet another El Classico. It will no doubt be yet another fantastic game, in a great weekend of football!
