Hawks alive in race for Moonee Valley Racing Club Cup

The Woodend Hesket footy club are down to the final 4 in the Riddell District Footy League reserves competition, after a tough win over arch rivals Riddell on Saturday. It will be another tough game against Macedon in the semi finals this Sunday on their home turf, but if we can click as a team and play 4 consistent quarters we'll be in with a chance.

It's great to be playing finals footy again and hopefully our finals campaign can last a few more weeks. The magoos finished the season on 12 wins and 6 losses. In round 1 Macedon got the better of us with an easy win at home, and last time we played we got up by 6 goals in a mudheap at Gilbert Gordon.
