Well again we outplayed our opposition for the majority of the night.  And again we crumbled when it counted!  Ended up losing 45-34 or something after we led the whole night i think.  The opposition was decent again however it took them 30 mins into the 36 minute game to figure out how to play.  Then they ripped us a new one down the stretch and gave us a good old lesson in how to finish a game off.

We lost our cool as well, as the original instigator of the new resolve needs to go back and reread his own email.  He'll remain nameless other than to say it was a certain A. Davidson (not Al) who received his 2nd tech in two weeks and third of the young season already and at a crucial time when we needed guards on the court.  Having said that the picture above is of the ref from last nights game.  The little dweeb just has no idea and totally ruined the game.  But its no coincidence that when the other team was complaining we were winning and when we were complaining the scoreboard was going south on us.  He's crap, we get it!!  Complaining doesn't help he doesn't know what he's doing!!!

Anyway back to the game and another really good team defensive effort on the night all went to waste as we couldn't find a go to guy at the end again.  Bad passes, bad shots, no rebounding and no getting back on D allowed quick scores at the other and all our good work was shot to pieces in two quick threes and a nice baseline runner.  We aren't far away though from an elusive victory, we just need to learn how to win again and how to hold a lead down the stretch.  Need to play as a team to ensure we find the best shot possible or find the hot hand instead of cranking the first available shot.  It'll come, Regs has been on fire, Baff has the knack of the big shot, Ash isnt afraid to take it and Cade can score at will for the rest of the game!  We are actually playing pretty well and as well as we have for a long time.

Highlights:

Regs - continued hot streak,  Refuses to miss at the moment!  Even did a nice post up move and hhe is hitting the offensive rebounds lately with gusto!!

Baff - got feisty but kept his cool, started to look dangerous from outside too, Him, Cade and Regs on the front line is working miracles down there.

Reg - did nothing, pushed a guy over and then pleaded innocence, tried some chest bumping but he forgot he doesn't have a chest.

Cade - the 2-3 zone with him in the middle has been the key, he grabs the boards while Regs and Baff box out.  This leaves Reg to play guard in the Magic Johnson role he has dreamed about.  Pity he's no good at it.

Al - 4 fouls again!! didn't foul out again.  Was a load in the low post in the first half too!!!

Ash - Went to his scintillating post up game against a midget but was scoring at will until he got himselfsin-binned.

Next week the Hawks and a chance to figure this thing out!
