Their skip, Lynsey Armitage will contest the womens singles final against defending champion Lisa Phillips. Australia's best bowlers, Mark Casey and Nathan Rice will do battle in the singles at 8pm tonight. Do we like the twilight games?

Kelvin Kerkow has been elected as a 4th selector for Australia! Still good enough to be playing but will now have the tough job in picking the World Championship team

Finals of the Asia Pacific Championships start Thursday. Kelsey Cottrell and Brett Wilkie will be first to play at 9am in the singles quarter finals. The fours and singles semi's start at 2pm Adelaide time

SJP Div 1 ladies have won the district pennant flag for the 3rd time running. Zone playoff not till June but hopefully with a win there they will be off to the state pennants in Dubbo

St Johns Div 1 ladies are sitting 2nd on the ladder behind Merrylands (the only game they have lost) in Pennants. Val Smith and Jo Edwards of New Zealand are Merrylands star imports so it will be a tough ask but the title is well and truely still up for grabs. Each club are to play each other again during the home and away format. All the best St Johnies who are going for 3 State Flags in a row!

So much has been happening at St Johns in the last month! Mark berghofer was apart of th men's winning trans tasman team. He also teamed up with Trent Craigie, Lee Such and Peter Foster to win the Zone Fours. Ben Twist and Matt Peitersen have been selected to represent Australia at the upcoming U25trans Tasman. Kelsey Cottrell and Anne Johns won the Australian Open Triples and then Kelsey went on to win the Moama International with Aus team mates, Mark Casey and Aron Sherriff! Steve Glasson from SJP currently leads Australia's charge at the PBA challange event on the Tweed Heads Indoor. Our Bowls Manager, Paul Girdler, is doing his bit for the Kiwis to stop Australia taking victory in this prestigeous Event. Today is the final day of play and you can watch Steve Glasson in action against the Kiwi's on Fox Sports at a later date.

36 teams playing in the Brian Rinaldo Fours here on the weekend so our greens will be full. One of the best tournaments around for division 2 and below pennant players!

WOW 100 days until the Commonwealth Games!!!

St Johns Park men now have grade 2's, 4's and 6's through to the State Finals. What an awesome effort and so deserved! Keep up the good bowling lads!!

We have some more great news at our club. Our grade 4's, 5's and 6's are involved in Zone playoffs this weekend and hope to join our grade 2's who have already qualified for the State Playoffs. Best of luck gentlemen, hope this weekend is very successful for you!

Maryann Parcell has just defeated Beth Quinlan in the district Singles 31-16. She will now play for her first State title later in the year. Great effort to have 2 St Johns girls in the final and congratulations again to Maryann!!!

Anne Johns is the 20th woman to win the Black Douglas Singles after defeating Brenda Thompson (2008 champion) in the final 25-23. What a game! Anne was the most consistant of the 4 semi finalists on finals day and thoroughly deserved the victory. Anne is also one of 6 SJP ladies who will represent NSW against QLD on June 29th, 30th at Soldiers Point. Go the blues!!

Thank you for invite to join this site. It is a great way to stay in touch with the sport. Don't know if I will ever play for Australia lol, but bowls is a fantastic social community that has and shows respect to all involved. I love it.

Our Number 1 Ladies are through to State Pennant finals 2 years running! Awesome effort ladies :) Thanks to the bus load of spectators that battled the trying conditions to witness SJP convincingly win the zone qualifying match yesterday.
