WNBL CAREER NOTES: Suiting up for the West Coast Waves this season, Edmonson has moved west after playing the 2011/12 season with the Adelaide Lightning where she averaged 4.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 assists. Played in all 22 regular season games as a member of the Bendigo Spirit in season 2010/11 where she averaged 4.5 points and 3 rebounds per game, including a career-high 21 points against former team Dandenong on 20 November 2010. She also played in their two finals. In 2009/10 Toni played for the Dandenong Rangers averaging 5.0 points per game, 2.2 rebounds and 0.5 assists playing 22 games. Toni made her WNBL debut in 2007/08 with New Zealand side Christchurch Sirens and averaged 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.9 assist in 19 games.

GENERAL BASKETBALL NOTES: 2011 Toni represented New Zealand at the FIBA Oceania Championships; 2011 Toni played for the Bendigo Lady Braves in the SEABL; 2010 she played for the Otago Goldrush in the NZ WNBL; Edmondson has represented New Zealand through the age groups, including the NZ U21 Tall-Ferns in 2006. She is also an accomplished volleyball player and was called into the Tall Ferns squad for her international debut in China in 2007. She was also named on the tournament team at the 2007 NZ U21 Championships.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Born in Christchurch, NZ and also played volleyball and netball when young. Favourite foods are pizza and chocolate.

COACH’S COMMENTS: Amelia is a hardworking and determined player that will be looking to take advantage of a new basketball opportunity. Amelia is a tough defender, is a great rebounder both ends of the court and can also score and create for others when required. Amelia has had a number of great basketball experiences around the WNBL and we will be calling on her experience to help lead our team this season.
