WNBL CAREER NOTES: Amy followed coach Peter Buckle to the Adelaide Lightning for season 2011/12 and played a key role in the team’s 18-win season, averaging 9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. In season 2010/11 Amy played in all 22 games for the Fire and averaged 13.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game; Amy was awarded WNBL Player of the Week in Round 15 for her outstanding performance against the Logan Thunder;Amy had an impressive 2009/10 season and earned Townsville’s Commitment to Excellence award. Amy made improvements on her debut WNBL season, averaging 16.3 points (6th in the league), 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals in the regular season. In Townsville’s 2 playoff appearances she averaged 12 points, and 2.5 rebounds. The 2008/09 season was Amy’s first season in the WNBL and she was a regular starter for the Fire. She posted 11.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.

GENERAL BASKETBALL CAREER NOTES: 2010 Amy played for the Ballarat Lady Miners in the SEABL;Amy won bronze with Australia at the 2009 World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia. After college and before returning to Australia she attended two trials with WNBA Club Phoenix Mercury. Amy was a member of the 2007 Australian U21 Sapphire and U19 Gems squads. Amy attended Troy University for four years and during this time had a highly distinguished career leading a number of stats for scoring 3 points, rebounds and assists.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: Amy is a “country girl at heart”. She has one older brother, Ben, and was an All-State Track athlete competing in 200m, 400m, 800m, high jump and hurdles. Amy is studying Physical Education with only 6 months until graduation.
COACH’S COMMENTS: After a soild 2011/12 season, looking to take a step further with her defensive game and her offensive play making.
