About the TiLite 2009 NWBL Finals

The Wenty Leagues WheelKings are proud to be selected as hosts of this year's finals. We are committed to providing a first-class finals series for competitors, fans, sponsors and guests.

We enthusiastically welcome onboard our major sponsor, TiLite Wheelchairs which are distributed in Australia by Seating Dynamics Ltd. We also welcome our principal partners - Basketball Australia, Wheelchair Sports NSW and the NWBL.

The NWBL finals are the pinnacle of wheelchair basketball in Australia and we hope you enjoy the excitement and competitiveness of this elite sporting spectacle.

The Venue

Sydney University Sports and Aquatic Centre (also known as the Noel Martin Centre) is located at the corner of Darlington Rd and Codrington St, Darlington - 2 kms from the CBD and 8 kms from the airport.

Parking might be tight on the Friday night due to uni night classes but the weekend should be fine. The second car park at the front of the venue will be closed off specifically for competitors and officials.

The main sports hall has 2 courts and grandstand seating for 500 people, and is home to the Sydney Flames of the WNBL. It was also a basketball training venue for the Sydney Olympics. The main court is ideally suited for spectators in wheelchairs with good access and unrestricted vision at court level.

There is a fine eatery within the venue serving takeaway snacks through to full sit-down meals in a variety of European styles.
