the different style and structures, playing in a number of roles including ruck, forward and back, and impressed by taking out the coaches award and leading goalkicker trophies at the end of the season for the reserves side.
Paul's elevation has come off a huge pre-season where he has set a time of 6 min 50 seconds in a 2km time trial, outstanding for a player of his size. He has impressed all at the club with his training ethic and dedication off the track, and boasts two impressive practice match performances against the Brisbane Lions, where his ruckwork was outstanding against AFL listed players Jordan Lisle and Niall McKeeever, and last week against Broadbeach against quality opposition. He has shown a knack for finding the ball and displayed some great courage backing back infront of leading forwards.
Paul's elevation to the senior side is a reward for hard work and dedication on the track, and a great result after leaving Newcastle and coming to a totally new environment. He has shown great improvement over the pre-season and thoroughly deserves his opportunity. We wish him all the best and hope it is the start of a long career in the Bombers colours.
If you would like to watch Paul's debut, the game will be streamed live on the NEAFL website www.neafl.com.au from 2:20pm NSW time
