Samoa will play for a country in pain.
Samoa comes to the Pacific Mini Games with a wealth of experience gained from recent games within the region and in the UK on the IRB circuit.
Lolo Lui (captain), Faamoaoni Lalolalo (manager) and Stephen Betham (coach) attended the informal gathering of the team managers and captains laid on by the Cook Islands Rugby Union.
Samoa will play its first game at 12.12 against New Caledonia.
